The Royal City Kings have officially opened their coaching recruitment drive for the 2026–2027 season, inviting passionate and community-driven individuals to join the organization behind the bench.
Based in Guelph, the Royal City Kings are seeking coaches committed to developing young athletes in a competitive, respectful, and team-focused environment. Opportunities are available across multiple age groups within the ORHL and NAPHL structure.
Coaches are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for leaders who are excited to contribute to a positive and competitive culture.
Opportunities Across All Levels
The Kings are welcoming applications from both experienced coaches and individuals new to coaching. While a hockey background is beneficial, the organization places equal value on leadership, communication, and a passion for mentoring youth. Selected coaches will receive access to development resources, certification guidance, and organizational support throughout the season. Positions will involve running practices, managing games, and fostering a strong team environment for players and families.
The Royal City Kings emphasize player development, sportsmanship, and inclusivity. The organization encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds—including former players, parents, and first-time coaches—to apply. Our focus is on long-term development and creating a great experience for every player.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply through the Royal City Kings’ official website by submitting an application outlining their experience, availability, and coaching philosophy. Early applications are encouraged as positions will be filled on a rolling basis. Successful applicants will be contacted for interviews and onboarding ahead of the upcoming season.
Be Part of the Kings’ Future. For those looking to stay connected to the game and make a meaningful impact in the Guelph hockey community, coaching with the Royal City Kings offers a rewarding opportunity to develop young talent and be part of a growing program.
