The Royal City Kings is a rep hockey club playing in Guelph and surrounding area.
No address boundaries and no releases. The Royal City Kings have always believed that players should play for the team and coaches they want.
For the 2025-26 season, our 14U, 16U and 18U teams will be playing in the North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) with its recent expansion of a Tier II division. All divisions are FULL Contact, ensuring the high level of competition that defines the league. The NAPHL is a quality league that prides itself on providing the best quality games in Showcases that they can. With our Showcases in convenient locations, game times and dates, the NAPHL really works with the schools/teams to offer the best schedule that accommodates the hockey programs but most importantly the student athlete.
The U13 and U11 team will continue to play with the Ontario Rep Hockey League (ORHL).
All participants are fully insured through the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union), the largest youth sports organization in the world with over a century of experience. Coaches receive training from the AAU, including programs offered by the “Positive Coaching Alliance” and “Heads Up Concussions in Youth Sports.”
We enhance the experience for your teams with a diverse game program and our tournament-based regular season games inject a new level of excitement into the schedule.
Games are scheduled for weekends because we value your child's education. We aim to ensure that there is ample time during the week, free from hockey commitments, to allow them to succeed academically.
Our teams offer professionally led development sessions. We go beyond merely training volunteer coaches; we bring in experts to enhance the growth of your children.
